I have been looking around but cant seem to find a straight forward explanation/diagram etc of how a drip feed WC works and is set up.

The search box comes up with these large threads of builds and i guess the info i want is burried in them somewhere, not being lazy but to search through all the posts.....

I hope to fit one to my 500g ( also the 1500g at a later date) tank for 50% per week WC. Thing is also my tap water is 5.5PH and tank water is 7.2PH, although thats with the added crushed course coral in the sump, which i will be doing in the 500g i am building.
How would i go about using tap safe also as it will be running constant.

If anyone can put me to a link for the info of share on here there wisdom that would be great.

Did you do a search for a 24 hour drip system? Neoprodigy has a who DIY thread. If you can find anything, I will go down to my fish room and take parts of the components.

Thanks mate, i have found a link now, i didnt try the 24hr thing.

All i see it is then is a cold feed from the tap/main line to a filter for the chlorene etc to replace the water safe, thats the bit that got me, how do i add the water safe, and as i will be fitting an over flow from the sump to a drain thatsv all that needed, apart from working out the flow for changing around 250g in 7 days, easy bit that.

I will read a bit more and what else i need like maybe the electric gubbins.

thanks mate

There's a sticky in the DIY section. There are at least four different builds.
