AutoCAD

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My parents are architects so they use AutoCAD a lot. The program itself is really expensive but you can torrent it if you want.

Autocad was fun! I took that class in 8th grade at the high school I graduated from.

Anyone does AutoCAD as a career?
I will be starting AutoCAD as my high school course. Anyone has samples I can have?

I don't "do AutoCAD" as a career (ie not a CAD technician), but I do use ACAD extensively for work (Security Engineer). You'll find that its a highly marketable skill, and used in most all types of engineering at some point.

I'm not sure what kind of "samples" you're looking for, but all of my drawings for work are proprietary/sensitive anyway. Sorry.

But you can create some really cool stuff, here's a Team Patch I designed in ACAD a while ago:

I use AutoCad as a career
I work at Stevens Industries, I draw and design cabinets, counter tops, reception desks, etc...
I love CAD it is a great field to get into and there are allot of jobs that you can get with CAD. A good thing to learn in CAD is to learn some keyboard short cut commands, if you learn those then you can put out drawings faster and your boss will love you lol. I now know all of the CAD keyboard commands so i do not use any "CAD buttons"

here are some examples of what i draw, unfortunately i can not show you any of the CAD drawings
