How often do you have to change a carbon stop filter to ensure that it removes adequite amounts of chlorine?

Normally the manufacturer has a liter recommendation for each product. If you want to be sure you have to do some testing for chlorine after certain amounts of water have flowed through the filter. Different municipalities use differing levels of chlorine so there´s no exact answer to this question.

As the above poster mentioned, there is no really set date to do it. But I'd do it every 3 weeks to make sure that there is no chlorine going in to my tanks.
