ive seen a couple of people on here talk about automatic water changers and i am completly lost and confused. how does this work? and what are the cos/pros about it. please educate me so i can learn

I have a sump with an overflow into my household waste water plumbing.
Downstream from that overflow I have a 1/4" tubing plumbed in from a bank of filters (one sediment and two carbon) in my laundry room that are tied into my "Hot" & Cold washing machine spigots.
So, I have a choice, constant trickle, or full power water change.
No more bucket hauling for me unless I'm doing a water change on my quarantine tank.
