Availability of ageniosus sp.?

I am looking for some sort of ageniosus sp. I have never seen these kind of catfish in stores and I know I saw one of these on a wholesale list once a few months ago.

Are these fish rare at all, or just not regularly bought by LFS?

Rare! At least in Europe. We had them only a handfull of times over the last two years.

I was able to find one! It appears to be an unconfirmed species ATM. If I remember correctly, it looks like http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/image.php?species=ageneiosus+sp(3)&image_id=11613.

Next week I may get a couple more.

They can be found on aquabid occasionaly by a few people and they have come in through Infinite Aquatics and ECZS in the past I know for sure. I bought 2 ageneiosus marmoratus and an ageneiosus sp from ECZS in the past. Some pics of mine can be found in the link in my sig on PlanetCatfish
