average congicus size

I always see people talking about the mythical congicus that get 30"+ but what is the typical size? Doesn't seem like they usually hit that size.

I am a firm believer that if taken care of properly they can deff obtain that size.. There is more then one mfk member that has or had them at or over 25inches

the average would be about 22"-26" but like Mike said we are starting to see with good care and time that some monster congicus are starting to turn up every where. I think before long we're gonna start seeing a lot more 30" just because of the way some of the MFK'ers take their fish seriously and maintain them so well.

Thanks for the inspirational words gentlemen. Seems like the show off your congicus thread comes around and the only ones over 20" are typically pulled off google images or from Japan. I'm guessing that females are a bit larger as well?

I know a few hobbyist who grew out there congicus from 7"-9" to 27"-30". They possible could be bigger by now. Last time I heard about their 30" Congicus was few years ago.

That is impressive. How fast do they grow once they surpass 20".
