Looking for a general good price from those of you in southern california that breed green terrors, would love to get one for cheap from darker colored parents, looking for an inch or under price

I'm workin on it, mine are only 3" an I picked them up from petco for $4 each. If they breed I would be happy to give them away for free to a good home.

i almost bought a very beautiful specimen from petco today but after my experience with a fish from there I will never go back to buy a fish, I bought a jack dempsey and within the week without feeding him any meats he bloated and exploded... and this is in quarantine feeding hikari cichlid staple.... let me know if you get any babies out of yours I would love a young one, got any pics of those that you picked up?

I think the petco's are hit or miss as far as quality of fish is concerned.

I've never had a single fish die that I got from the Petco here.

Currently have a GT that I got from them at 2.5" and he eats like a pig and is up to about 4" now.

As for price of these, I wouldn't really worry about it. It's going to be between free and $10 for a juvie depending on where you get it. They're really cheap, and if you find a good one, just get it. You're talking about a $5 swing in getting a "good deal" vs. a "bad deal" on these. And over the span of the fishes life, thats nothing.

At an inch or under you should be looking at no more than $1 ea. Anymore and you are getting ripped off.
