Around 70,000. Not bad for Ford F150's. Rotors are shot by the time I change but everything lasts another 70,000 and then I usually get another truck. LOL.

if u drive freeway they last longer than aound town and if your car is light it helps also some pads are total crap your poll is a bit like askin how long is a leanth of string,:D

It really all depends on the type of pad, what kind of car and how you drive. I have a 96 Impala SS and the brake pads last about about 8,000 miles and I just sold my 2006 F150 that had 90,000 miles on the original pads. My wife has a 2006 Impala that has 80,000 on the original pads. I have a 2012 Altima now and I'll be happy if the brakes last me for 50,000 miles.

Hello; I have done many brake pad replacements. On a Nissan sentra I owned the front pads lasted into the 90K + range on the front with aggressive driving. The rear pads were still fine at 150K+. On my pickups front pads can go anywhere from 40K to 70K miles. My current 2004 Silverado pickup had worn rear pads at 30K miles and the front were fine. I had to remove and clean the calipers and hardware. Several Chevy pickups and SUV's including mine and my friends in the early 2000 model years have had rear pads wear out too soon. The normal experience has been for front pads to wear about twice as fast as the rear pads. I always check pads when rotating the tires at around 5 to 7K miles.
A neighbor drove across a small local mountain to and from work. She rode the brakes and I would replace the front pads every 20Kmiles or so.
Front pads do about 70% of the braking normally.
Some makes like the german cars have brake rotors that wear quick like the pads and should be replaced at the same time as the pads.
As others have said it depends on many things and the only way to know is to check the pads from time to time.
