So i have this sen that grew rapidly (around 2" a month). Now that she's 8 inches, i noticed that her growth is slower. Is this normal? if not then what should I do. Shes in a 50 gal tank.

depends what you feed them. ive had sens before that grew slowly. the one i have now grew about 1" a month
@Eläköön, I do feed them plenty. the only change i notice is that it's getting FAT!

Yes it will have a big difference. Water change and high protein foods containing a minimum of 40% protein would also help a lot.
I actually use a 75g for a grow up tank (3"-5") as they seems to grow fast in a bigger tank. Once they get up to 8"-9", I moved them to 100g. Then to 120g when they get up to 10-12". Once over 12" I moved them to the main bichir tank which is 310g. Any senegalus that stay under 10" (stop growing) are sold. Albino senegalus would be an exception as they seems to max out at 7-8 inches average. However I was able to grow mine at almost 11".
