Average water temp

Getting all of my stuff together to set up the 150 tank. What temp am I looking at to keep some pbass. Thanks Chris
 
Dont listen to that temp....Keep it at 78 if you want dead cichla. Keep it at 86 for some healthy cichla!
 
^ i agree... if this is your first batch and your picking up small cichla, i recommend 86-87.. warmer the better
 
Will do, thanks for the info. I do plan to do some more research before everything is a go. I do also like the responses from actual fishkeepers, nothing like first hand knowledge. Probably going with a pair of 5 inch to start.
 
I try to keep mine at 86-89 but since i've have my fish in the garage it has gotten to 90 before and they were fine.
 
yeah if the fish are small, then keep it warm to keep the chance of disease low. if theyre bigger guys, then theres absolutely no reason to keep the water that warm
 
oopps my bad sorry for the bad temp recommendation wasn't paying attention to the fish in tank.
