so i went into petco the other day and saw that there plant tank, you know the hexagon one that has six levels with a waterfall in between, was drained and sitting in the corner. when the guy was bagging up my fish i asked what there plan was, he said "hundred bucks its your" and i said " $%%^ yeah!!!". i've paid for it but haven't brought it home yet, i'll need to rent a uhaul. so when i do i'll have pics up asap!!! but in the meantime, what do you guys think i should do with it? and how much would you pay for it?

I'm not familiar with the style of tank you bought, but it sounds interesting. Waiting for pics:popcorn:

I would probably re-plant it with some hardy, low-tech plants, and then keep different species of tetra, rasbora, corydoras, shrimp, and crayfish in it. I don't remember exactly how big each compartment is, but you could probably do some of the smaller rainbows or gourami's as well. Or even a couple of betta's (obviously in separate sections).

Pics or it didn't happen!

*feels a community tank might be in progress :D Cardinals! Tetras! woot!

Nice. But the price depends on the tank size. Pics.

just from looking at it i estimate about 80 gallons, but we'll find out once i get the exact measurements. if i do set this tank up, it won't be with community. but i am more than likely going to resell it. i'll still post pics :)

Sweet tank and awesome price. I would put it in the middle of the living room. Only thing about those tanks is that you need some sort of screen to prevent fish from moving between the compartments. Eventually you end up with all the fish in the sump and only plants in the display.
