I have a wildlife control company in NJ and I mostly get hired for bats raccoons squirrels groundhogs ect.... but every once and a while I get some really cool jobs that mix it up a little. So I'm doing a goose harassment job at this big manufacturing plant what has about 70 acres were the geese are attacking there reflections in car doors and chasing people arond the parking lot and loading docks cause theres a few pairs with nests and now they just hierd me for another problem there having. Aperrently they are finding lots of snakes in the shippping pallets. I do a lot of snake work but what makes this job so sweet is that the pallets ARE COMING IN FROM CHINA!!! I'm not sure which part of china there being shipped from, I'll find out tommarow, but I get to go in with one of the plant workers and grab snakes from betten pallets while he moves them with a fork lift. they may just turn out to be water snakes milk snakes and garter snakes from around the property but there deffinetly a lot of potental for me to stumble upon some real sweet foreign snakes! I'm soooo pumped I have high hopes for this one.

I'm gonna wait a few days until the weathers right to take a few hours to really check the place out snake wise. In terms of handling them I'm pretty good with snakes, I've worked with exotics for a long time and I take probably 75 snake calls a year for native ones. I've gotten real good at securing big beefy over sized water snakes which may not be poisonous but they are crazy aggressive. I denfenetly need to do some resurch and at the same time I have drawstring pillow cases attached to buckets so if theres any question as to what it is I can just hook it right in there. In January they made snake grips illegal to use in the field in NJ which isn't that big of a deal cause I prefer to use a hook but still when I need them it would be nice to have them. Again it could just turn out to be local snakes finding there way into the loading bays but at the same time it shows promise. I have my fingers crossed and I'll defenitly take pictures for you guys. Even if there just locals there should be some cool species aside from the usual suspects because the property is ideal for snakes. hope hope
