I don't know but there's one who has a collection of his... He has a sailfin but I'm no expert at plecos, and I assume the color in the vid that's a bit reddish does not meet the pleco he has but just look at his collection... I mean look at it.

800$, that's a bit ummm... high. I just wanna ask, how does tagging prices in pleco's work?
Like any other fish, supply and demand. How many people wants it? how many there are available. Some people ask over $1000+ for good quality larger L25s or L24s, and people still pay! While you can get an average quality same size L25 for $400~$500.
Luteus does not come by often, $800 is only for a phase 1, which only has yellowing on fins, the phase 3s in the pictures will cost more than that from the vendor. Much more if you can find a top quality specimen that's already gone through the shipping, quarentin, and lottery (risk on quality of fish, health of fish, and unseen parasites) of buying from vendors/lfs. If you buy a phase 1 at $800 and it's able to morph into phase 3 with full gold coverage, that's actully a very reasonable price.
I've been offered $1500 for mine, we're still working out a deal. I'd rather keep it than sell it for $1500 if I can sell some other pieces to make my wife happy. Good quality phase 3s really are hard to come by.

I have 4 Luteus at 14" - 16" from phase 1 to 3. I like the phase 1 best because I have nothing that looks similar. The phase 3 look too much like my 5 Albino Adonis or 7 Xantos. Sorry for the bad pictures I just took after feeding them (and ~30 big pleco can make a real mess) and it's tank cleaning time tomorrow.
