Today I got a tiger oscar and a red oscar.. also a dempsey.. but the tiger oscar and red oscar are like imseperable.. they don't leave eachothers side.. it's pretty cool to watch them.
The key to not loosing fish to ick is to treat early, at the first signs of it. I always inspect new fish daily for a couple of months, after no outbreaks for a couple of months its harder to get a case of ick, so then i dont check daily. Bringing new fish into a established tank is the most common reason to get ick in your tank.
My fish are doing great thankyou.. they finally stopped sulking in the 55 gallon and love it espically the red oscar.. the tiger is still a bit shy.. So far they've ate chicken and regular tropical flakes.. they dont like anything else it appears.
