my 2 year old ornate, 14 inches, found dead at the floor of my tank. something must have attacked her! her anal part seems to be bloodied up maybe swelling? could this be an attack or illness? she seems ok yesterday before i left home. :cry::cry::cry::cry:

bare bottom. other bichirs of similar size. south american cichlids (severums, gt, zonatum) they mind their own business, i know they do. and also a notorious synodontis that was temporarily housed in my 150 with them. but i can't be too sure.

Peewee, that hurts!!! Feel bad for you, brutal to lose a poly esp after a couple years. For cause it looks like blood streaks around the scales mid belly, kinda looks like the bad bacterial infection I lost an endi to a couple years back. Came on fast and leathal, keep an eye on the others. Good luck with things and in a week or two when the hurt passes, go poly shopping!!
