Axolotl floating and on his side

Still eating and seem quite vigorous when i touch him. What could be wrong?

What is the temp on the water? They require a lower water temp and this sounds like his might be too high.

What size is the axo? And what is the water temp?

He's about 6 or 7 inches. Temp is 58 degrees F.

Sometimes they get an air bubble stuck inside of them while feeding. What are u feeding?

floating is normal. But on his side is strange and maybe an issue. What s your substrate? He might have swallowed a piece of gravel or something.

Sand substrate, he eats nightcrawler pieces, shrimp, massivore.

Has it stopped floating? This happens sometimes and its best to not do anything really. From my experience it is an air pocket. Most times it works it way put with regular feeding.
