Can you keep fish with Axolotls?
I have a 4'' dat and a 4'' knife fish and was thinking about getting a large axolotl.
So I was just wondering if they could go together?

No. The axolotl's gills will be ripped to shreds.

Axolotls also need much cooler water, and will stress (and most likely die) if placed in the tropical temps that knives and dats prefer.

Axolotls will never compete for food and hiding places with the fish, either.

If the fish are smaller, they will be eaten.

That particular fish combo would be completly incopatible with a axolotl, not only they are agressive but also they need temps axolotls have hard time tolerating;)

Brown Knife aggressive?
Don't think so..
But thanks for the info :)

Mine engulfed every small enough fish in the tank;)

Different fish, different temperaments.
My African brown knife is very relaxed though.

What temp should axolotls be kept at?
I'm going to start reading up on them because I'd still like to get one.
