i set the dial to 29 appx 84.2 farenheit they shut off with tank at only 78.5 so i bumped them up to 32 celsius we will see what happens.

anyone else have experience with theese heaters

How is you tank setup? If the heaters or your thermometer are in a "dead spot" you may be getting false readings or uneven heat in your tank.

Or you just have defective heaters. I was looking into titanium heaters for my new pond and have yet to find any that have any positive reviews.

The area around your heaters will be warmer than the rest of your tank when its time for them to heat the water back up. Unless you have a good current around them.

Even with a really good current, the heater itself will heat up if they are on for a while causing it to shut off untill the water around it cools the heater down.

There is no way around this and it doesn't mean that the heater is junk.
