LV Golden Knights!
Made this video to show why I have to clean a layer of scales off my drains every couple of days. My Azuls go at it all day, only time they're not fighting is during feeding time and nap time. It's not just the alpha nipping at the others, he gets attacked too. The kelberi don't get involved for some reason.

Sucks that theyre fighting but you have very great looking fish
that azul with the darker colors is very nice

I'm I the only one that kinda likes this about Cichla? That they are always bickering but not really doing real damage (some do and that's what I'm talking about). To me it shows character.. IMO... Great video, and beautiful fish Chizzle, it makes me laugh..

I have 2 zullies and they do the exact same thing all day long even during feeding time. Although my 2 are not at the same level of aggression as yours, they are definately smaller. So this is what I have to look forward 2:irked: LOL I love it though

Grab some larger cichlids to spread the aggression. Want to trade for your tig?

great lookin azuls. mine did the exact same thing and my orino would join in just for some mid day fun it seemed. My Kelbs just sit there just like yours and watch the fight. So funny. I would add more cuz.. why not LOL

Thanks, he's the alpha male of the tank.

The fact they are nipping at each other doesnt bother me, its the loss of scales. All the azuls have them missing from the dorsal side of their body, makes them look diseased imo lol. They have honestly been fighting since day 1 of all being in the same tank, but they'd never lose scales like they do today, it would usually just result in tattered fins.

Hopefully the fighting between your two wont escalate. Mine have been going at it at this level since May when I put them all together in my old 240. The damage did not start to show until a few weeks ago.

Hmm maybe I'll pick up my buddies's Viejas, still want to keep the tig =[ sorry pete.

+1. Great way to justify getting more. I try to use this excuse to the other half constantly, lol. Good looking zulies Chizzle.

I think its overstocked as it is lol, would have to get a larger tank if i wanted more!

Thanks! Would love to add more, but would like to get a bigger tank first.

Top notch azuls!

Thanks man!

My big azul and smaller broko in my 240 go at it constantly but no real damage and they both boss my mono and xingu around. In my smaller tank my baby azuls used to do that until I added that pinima, which is the smallest out of 2 azul and 1 tem but runs the show.
