I've heard that Azuls lose their spots and spangles as they get bigger. but somehow, in my case, its the opposite. the bigger it gets, the more the spots. now its spots have covered its whole head. i am perplexed.

Yes they get more spots as they grow from baby to juvenile. Then they develop there adult colours and lose there spots. The same happened with my pinima.
 
That azul is not big.. It's a juvie
 
for starters, i'm in singapore. and its already quite rare here :x

if they are rare in singapore then they must be non-existent throughout the rest of the world!
