Up until last week I could not remember the last time I lost a fish but over the weekend it all changed.

For some reason my Azul has gone all bad ass and in the space of a couple of days killed my smallest Orino and my black arowana. Never saw it coming as they have all been together for a while and were similar sizes.

The Mrs now says I should sell the Azul and my Kelberi, but Im thinking I need more bass

Ive heard they do well in groups, and some people have even put other fish in there to help contain the anger and even distract the fish. Assuming you have the room for more, along with the proper filtration.

Why sell the kel?

There are other fish in there to. The azul is about 9" and now seems to be turning its attention to my 13" flagtail and 16" vulture cat.

The mrs wants to sell the Azlu and Kel to fund a black ray

That's a tough one, maybe you should just leave the azul and see if the aggression gets worse. If it does, you can always swap him for another one at Pier or sell him and get another kel.

Is his own tank an option? Personally i'd hate to see you try and "wait to see if the aggression gets worse" and potentially lose more fish over it? If its own tank is not an option, and you think he may have aggression problems, I may look to sell him with a fair warning of his aggression lol.

Just curious, have you introduced any new fish into the tank recently that could kind of throw off the heirachy?

No new fish have gone in. I havent got a tank it can go into but I can easily divide it off if I need to.

No need to seperate this guy as he has calmed right down and is not bothering anyone.

Ive decided that the solution to the problem is MORE BASS !!!
