lol Good Luck on finding them...but i Doubt your going to find any at that size anywhere right now unless you import them straight from the wild in SA...all those Azuls people have now are basically above 12" its Very Doubtful...you'd have to wait till a vendor or any of those that travels to the country to catch and import fishes to get them at that small size...but will cost you some money for a Azul depending on size
either if its you or your friend...i doubt you'll be able to find any juvenile Azuls around right now...everyone on here right now has adults

i will almost garauntee that a azul/intermedia/paquiti/fogo will not be found under 8in. these fish have stoped being imported for almost a year now, said that these fish are expensive and will keep raising in price as the days progress this is only a invesment to those who are fortunate enough to have them. hope this clears some of your friends questions.

Yeah, I wanted one too. I have looked everywhere. I'm going to South America next year in Feb. So, I will continue my search there.

Peacock Bass I disagree. That's not true that they have stopped the importing of these fish. I have a supplier waiting on a shipment of Intermedia around 3"-5" and he told me there may even be some Azuls in it but not sure until it arrives. Should have the facts straight before you post stuff like that. IMO

Intermedia and Cichla Nigromalcutas* are in aswell. But finding very young juvies no a days are harder to find even if you LFS has a supplier that will get them in. Only cichla i know of that are not allowed to be imported as of now is still the Fogo...until the time beign we have these other rare cichlas
