I'm planning on having a group of motoros along with my silver arowanas in my 3600 gallon tank. I like azuls and was wondering about keeping them with motoros.

Anyone keeping azuls with motoros?

If so, any aggression problems?

plenty of members keep Pbass with rays.... feeding is the only real issue

hahaha...my 125gal has a 5" motoro and a 4" silver and Im growing out an azul and 2 kelberi in a 30gal right now, and gonna and them as soon as they are 5"

yup...

AROWANA
CICHLA
STINGRAY

....the BEST MFKer's combo IMO!!!!

Just had to ask since I'm Cichla stoopid currently. I never considered keeping them before now because I never had a tank big enough to keep them through adults. Same with rays and arowanas for that matter even though somewhat less stoopid about them.

Feeding with any bass is the real problem. The bottom feeders are going starv due to lack of food that will never make it to the bottom.

Unless you can somehow direct feed the rays with tongs, it's almost imposible.

This is why I don't keep my bichirs with any dats and bass...

I'd guess you have to stuff the bottomless pit pbass until they can't move and then feed the other fish.

hahah try that and let me know..before you know it, you'll be overfeeding the bass before you can even feed the ray.

I am not saying it won't work...to me it was too much hassle to do... I used to dump pellets on one side for all the dats just so I have 20 seconds to feed the bichirs on the other end..

I tried the clear acrylic tube, the dats and bass were too quick..

Right now, even with tong, the dats, aros and bass still steal the food, but at least I have better chance lol.

How about a regular white pvc pipe? I'd think if they can't see it going down the tube it would have a better chance having more time on the bottom. I'm sure you already thought of that, but just had to toss it out.
