A local petland in my area just had aquaclear filters on sale. A 50, for 28.00, a 70, for 38, and a 110, for 58.00. The sign over the top read on sale till the 28th of feb., anyways I just went in, and the sign was gone, and the filters were back to regular price, which is a rip off. I believe the 110 was like $84.00, I cant believe it! I talked with management, and of course they cant find the signs, one of the employees, I believe to be very low on the food chain over there, totally agreed with me, but management said otherwise. I just wanted to post this cuz I'm pretty pissed at petland, not at monsterfishkeepers, but it is monster B.S. I just picked up a 45 g. high and wanted to get a 70, my girl says it wasn't meant to be, but I'm pretty bummed. :swear:
 
your better off buying from a mail order supplier or online.You can get stuff much cheaper.I bought a aquaclear 300 for $17.00 through THAT FISH PLACE, saw it a petco for alittle over 50 bucks.
 
I just got an AC110 from Big Al's for $32.99. And I think that they still have free shipping for orders over $50. I am sure that you could find more things on there to order. I ended up getting about $200 worth of supplies.
 
Yea, I've heard stuff onlines pretty cheap. It's just this place is like seriously 3/4 of a mile from where I live, n if I had problems, I would just go back n get a refund. There prices are absurd, especially on fish.They have a 4" flowerhorn for 59.95!!! ,but when they have sales, they are not to bad, like, they have salvini at 3" for like 2.98 and jd's for 1.98. I try to stay away from pet places as apposed to fish only stores, but like I said, the distance from me, I just cant ignore it. any ways I know I can def. find some better prices elsewhere, I just to vent a little. I was just there like an hour ago, I'm a little more cooled off now.

17 bucks, i spent 34 on lunch today, id say you did alright
 
I get all my equipment at drsfosterandsmith.com much better prices than petsmart or petco
 
wow those are high prices for ACs they don't cost that much cdn in the store i get my equipment from buy yourself a nice classic eheim canistor from a online store you'll be glad you did in the long run.

THAT PET PLACE or Pet solutions is much cheaper than even Dr.foster and smith.They are more saltwater specialists (doc foster) the other 2 care a wider aray of products.I have ordered from all 3 and have had good luck with all.The return policies are very good also but it does take some time for delivery(5 to 7 days on average)
 
ill be the first to admit that i get most of my more expensice supplies from petsmart. but they have a price matching policy that i love to abuse. for example i get emperor 400 filters for $40... no shipping, no waiting for anything to arrive, nothing more than a 20 minute drive. just print out a web page and they're happy to match the price
