B/W Tegu

Hey all,
I was just trawling around the internet and couldn't find any decent references on care for these. I'm setting up an enclosure for one, and was wondering what the best way of heating it is?

how is the set up ??? how big is it ??? what is it made of ??? a basking spot with a lamp is going to be your best bet and maybe a heat panel as well for over all heat

Setup is gonna be 5' x 2.5' x 2.5' with raised platform with easy access ramp. Making it in the base of my fish tank stand so will be structuarlly surrounded by 4 by 2 and sides are gonne be made of beech finish wood.

"How is the setup?" what do you mean?

I've heard people say heat panels rather than lamps but obviously i want to light it some how, so you reckon a basking lamp? I intend to put a small pool in at the bottom as well, with a small filter in but not sure if the tegu will try anything (i.e. chewing it).

And i know in the long run i'll need a bigger setup, can't wait. She's gonna be getting out of the enclosure as lot anyhow, a house pet status kind of thing =D

One other concern is my fish.... Reckon i should be?

I met this guy a long time ago, he sold me an Agama Agama, and he showed me his Argentina Black and White Tegu / setup

That's not too bad a setup but i think i'm gonna give it plenty of wood to burrow in, as in the shop atm, she seems to like going under half her decor ^_^

Its a impressive setup but it needs some burrowing material like cypress mulch or anything
