I finaly got another reticulated python! He's soooo ity bity! I didn't think he'd come in this small. He is sooo friendly it scares me. Never before have I seen a young retic this friendly. Usually they start out nippy, but calm down with lots and lots of handling and lovin'. I'm afraid this guy is going to do the opposite haha. He lets me pick him up and handle him without any fuss. He hasn't even tried to strike at me once. Something tells me he's going to get nastier the bigger he gets xD

What do you guys think? Does anyone keep retics?

cool snake do you know the sex? have you noticed the heart in his pattern about 2/3 the length of his body, down from his head. i have alot of postings on here of my retics, search dde1878.

Nice lil retic. Reminds me of mine. You may get lucky on the temperament. Do you know if it's CB or wild caught? My nice one was WC so you'd have thought she'd be nasty but was a perfect angel. What are your future plans re: adult enclosure?

Haha Yes I totally noticed the hearts! That's like my favorite thing about retics. They always have little heart patterns on them. They aren't monsters at all. It's sad what a terrible reputation they have. They're my favoritest reptile in the wuuuuurld. And yeah, I know my retic is C.B. My last one was a wild caught, and he was the meanest snake in the world for a good four months. Not sure on the sex. I haven't learned to probe yet, but when I do I'll let ya know.

Right now, he's in a 20 long. In a month or two im going to bump him up to the 40 breeder. After that, who knows, I'm not sure if I want to do a glass enclosure any bigger than a 40. I'll most likely end up having one of my buddies help me build something out of plexi glass and wood.
