This past weekend I decided to finally level my 125G tank.
This is a huge task because you all know these glass tanks are heavy.
Not to mention all the fish you have to relocate temp. The entire move ended up taking me a full 8 hours. I felt like I was at work, and my back hurt a hell of a lot by the time it was over. My back is back to normal today though.
My wife was out of town. So I was on my own to move this tank. To level it, I just added a cut out section from a large door, and add a 6' long 1/4" cut off from a 2x4 to one end of it.
For the first time ever my tank is level. Anyway.. One of the reasons this took so incredibly long is because I knew I had a few fry in the tank. Atleast two that I knew of. I didn't want to remove their shelter while catching the bigger fish.
So it took forever to catch them all!! Next time, they can just eat the fry.
This is the first time I've made an effort to keep fry. I've actually moved the fry to a 15G tank that uses an UGF. There is 9 or 10 of them. from 1/4" to 3/4".
This merited a post because.. I usually just let them get eaten and don't care to go through the effort of catching them to save them.
