When you buy fish, do you buy babies, juveniles, sub-adults, or adults?

I buy babies. =) I love watching them grow into adults, and there's also the benefit that babies are relatively cheap, compared to adults of the same species (obviously).

So, MFKers, at what stage do you prefer to buy, and why?

i chose juviniles as there aren't really alot of any other choices for me around here

it does kinda depend on the tank tho, i have my large tank with fish that are already sub-adult to adults so if i add more fish they would need to be adults (or risk getting eaten) so yeha it kinda depends for me

I purchase juvenile most of the time. But I agree with canucksfan1, I have to purchase larger fish sometimes due to tank mates.

babies or juvies are the choice.. however my willingness to "set up another tank to grow them out" has prettymuch gotten out of control and now im out of room :(

haha to true

juvies, the fish i get dont get that big so no grow out tank needed :)

i generally buy juvies to grow out, but I am willing to vary based on availability.

I like both ;) Depending on my purpose.
