I have a three inch silver aro ..and he keeps pushing against the glass.. opening its mouth.. moving back a little then jumping at the glad is he attacking his reflection and what should i do i don't want him to hurt himself..i know the tank is a little small but he is only 3 in and had plenty of Ron and i have a 55 waiting for him wants he is big enough to roll with the big guys in the 55 and then as soon as that's over im buying a 150 asap then possibly a 265 300 gallon

I'd put any sort of dark paper or cloth taped to the glass. Should keep him from seeing his reflection.

From your description it does sound like it. Cardboard should work.

I know it's small but considering he is only 3in and this ample space it's a 10g and I have a 55 waiting for him with some tank mates wants he is big enough to hold his own

i have a marineland hangover with a biowheel. im not sure of the exact model but if im not mistaken i bouught the model made for 20g tanks for extra filtration and better water circulation .

If there is a light on inside the tank, having cardboard or even painting the outside of the glass will not eliminate the reflection. This is a behavior sometimes seen with arowana. Plants or bubble walls can sometimes help but hard to cover all the glass. Most arowana just grow out of that phase. Bad thing is eventually a calus will build up if they continue to do it. Note one of my silver aros in the video link in my sig, looks like he has a fat lip.

Yea was in a lfs and this guy has a 700 gallon tank his 2ft aro jumped out and he looked all banged up as far as Claus goes I'm not certain if that was the build up.. But when I turned off the light he relaxed a little and I put cardboard on one side...I didn't have enough but hopefully he stops completely it just bugs me
