Baby aro growth question.

My lfs had baby silvers with yok sacs. All of them died due to fungus except for one which he gave to me. Sac is gone and fungus cleared up. I had him 2 months and he looks like he hadn't grown even a inch. I'm baffled because he eats pellets and is currently in a 42 gallon. I would like to grow him large enough to give to my cousin. He is still 2.5".

I've seen people growing them faster. I thought that 1" per month (or more) on average is obtainable for quite a while.

How often are you feeding him? What pellets? How many? How often and how large are your water changes? What temps are you using?

Maybe he isn't getting enough food or maybe the water isn't clean enough or warm enough. Some suggest 82-84F for good growth.

He eats 15-25 1mm pellets 2 times a day. 30% water change every 5 days. 42gal @80'. Ac110 & emperor 280. I also wormed him a few weeks ago with prazi 2 treatment. He looks really healthy just bit growing like I'd expect.
