Hello, I just picked up a 2'' silver aro, a 2'' clown knife, and my dad got 2 6'' channel catfishes. Thanks Nate from MA. Now here is some ?'s for you arowana experts to answer for me. Now I have the arowana with 2 bala sharks, 2 ID sharks, and a clown knife in the 20 long grow out tank. Will he be allright with these guys?? Also what should I feed the aro???Anyone have pics of their smaller sized aros?? I'll post pics of mine later.

for one, you will need a t like x10 the size you have now, how big are the other fish, what is the aro eating? try blood worms

small aro's can be touchy. would be best to put them by themselves and grow them out. i use chopped shrimp, smelt and a good pelllet.

The other fish are around the same size.... I don't know what the aro is eating I just got him. I will try shrimp, and brine shrimp first.

For your baby aro, the best thing you can feed for the next month or so would be freeze dried blood worms, they float and are soft, both required for baby aros. Also you may be able to get it to eat a quality flake food. Once in the 3 to 4 inch range you can expand the variety of foods.

As for the tank mates, baby aros are very fragile and relatively defenseless. So any tank mates could pose a problem. It would be best if you could keep the arowana isolated until it is about 5".

I am keeping a close eye on him. the reason I decided to put him in the 20 is because he doesn't have his egg sac any more. I hope he eats..
