Ok I come home today and find my baby Arowana (2.5in) swimming funny. Moving his head side to side almost like waddling in place. I did a 25 percent water change two days ago. I used prime for the water and my ph is 7.2-7.3 and my temp is 82.5. He ate a little plankton and whent back to it.I might be parnoid but I lost the last two Aro's to sickness so i really don't want to take chances. I had cross contamination with a sick pleco and my last Aro died after rubbing the glass at first and developing a sore on his head got sick and died. I treated the water and still have the pleco that looks good except for a mark I thought was scar from a scrape. should I hit the water with some mela or prima fix or just wait?

Baby Aro's are just too sensitive I wouldn't mess with any under 5". As for the swimming funny you know when your fish are sick. They hide more or stay in a corner and won't eat. So if he's showing all these signs he's probably stressed out and I'd stop feeding for a day or two and keep the lights out in the room. Other than that if it's his swim bladder or a spine injury or deformity it's probably best to put him down. Most fish won't recover from this and it's the most humane thing to do.
I checked my water for nitrite nitrate and amonia. All perameters where good. I will keep an eye on him but I've been good about w/c. hope it's not the same thing from pleco. I have mela/prima fix And ordered maracyn 1-11 plus parasite guard and tetracycline. Will cycle these because if I do loose the fish I want the tank to be clean. Am I going about this Right? It's all abourt the Aro please advise!
maybe the pleco's cursed.. lol.. did you clean your tank before you introduced the new aro? juvies are quite sensitive to water conditions..
if ever you decide to break your tank, give it to me instead.. i will immerse it in chlorine and detergent for 4 months to make sure it's clean.. lol
