1. Real fast, not completly sure how fast but its quick.

2. I know they like fish, sea foods like salmon, beef heart, vegies like dark leafy greens carrots, spinach, bannana , high quality turtle pellets, insects, water snails, minows, crayfish, and make sure you give them supplements like vitamin D3, vitamin B1, and calcium.

3. Babies, about once a day, adults can go three to two days.

4. As much as they will eat in a 10 min period.

5. they don't move to much, but they like water low enough to stick their nose out, they barley leave the water, its best to keep them in a outdoor pond.

well, i got my guy when he was the size of 50 cent piece. the first 3 yrs he grew 4 inches a yr. he slowed down after that. at a little over 8 yrs he has a shell length of 17 inches or so. i kept water temp in the upper 70s-low 80s. fed the little guy everyday. reptomin, trout chow, minnows, worms, insects, crayfish, and thawed out rodents one he got larger. now adays i give him mainly thawed out fish i catch, fillets and frog legs from the seafood place, and thawed out rodents. the last few yrs i only feed him about 2times a week i never gave him any vitamin or calcium supplements. for the first couple yrs i did offer a basking spot butit was never used. so since then i havent had one. mine grew fast, so be ready. i have mine in a 300 gallon stock tank.

thanks for the info
i would love to here some more stories of these guys so please post away

good looker! Maybe someday when I have my sectioned off pond for the turts and fish I will look into these cool turts.

Just so you know, that's a common.

More active than Allis and grow faster. Luckily, they don't grow as large as alligator snappers.

Good luck with raising him.

rc.

if u want to know his sex, just wait 1yr, and handle him to see what it does (flash wise)
