Wow,

I lucked out today by visiting my lfs and they had some baby H.Vitatus ins stock. A bit pricey but still a nice fish . I bought 2 today. I will include pics soon. They are only anound 3'' but already super agressive and eating like pigs. One was striking at me through the glass.

Congrats. Had no idea they were that aggressive at a small size.

are ur 2 working together? i heard that they either need to be alone or in a school of 5 or more... but i have heard a lotta ppl putting 2 or 3 together and there were no complains

PICS!

Man,

these little guys are hard to photo. They are still nervous when I come anywhere near their tank. This is the best pic I can get for now. What kind dou you think these are? Thanks,
Mike

I would say Hydrocynus vittatus. They look to be in good shape.

Yeah,

That's what I thought. I hope they are. 1 of them swallowed a fish 1/2 it's size. I had 1 before and raised it to about 12'' and what a monster they become. It used to literally dive-bomb at fish so fast with it's mouth open it would saw the fish in half. Truely an imperssive fish.
