Baby Bichir food

I'm going to get a polypterus senegalus soon, the one's at the stores around me are always very small, I was wondering what you feed small Bichirs? Would Hikari sinking carnivore pellets be fine?

Also I bet it is very unlikely but do you think ropefish would be able to be the pellets as well?

blood worms, black worms, mysis shrimp, finely chopped earth worms. maybe pellets

i feed all my tiny bichir brine shrimp, bloodworms, and chopped smelt when i'm feeding the rest of the crew...

mine loved sinking krill pellets and bloodworms when he was little. now it's shrimp and paraya.

for young'uns, I'd feed brine shrimp and bloodworms. A little bit easier for them to chew up.

live brine shrimp or frozen? is brine shrimp better then mysis shrimp?

i use frozen for the convenience. can't answer that, have never personally used mysis, sorry

Mysis shrimp has more protein that said bloodworms,mysis shrimp,brine shrimp think of small foods they can consume easily as for pellets use a single edge razor blade
or a pill cutter and cut them into halves or quarters.-Anne
