I got a 20L container and i like to house it with my 2.5" senegal bichir. How long can i house it?

The baby sen bichir is with 2 larger bichir( albino sen and endli at 5"). I kinda want to transfer it because of food competition.

You will have to change water every other day or it will effect the growth of the baby Senegal. When it gets large enough not to fit in the others mouth the poly should be safe to be added back.

If you want it to grow fast, I would changes no less than 25% of the water everyday.

Did you cycle the sponge filter?

yep. my sponge is more than a month in my aquascape but i just using it for my bichir since my aquscape is somewhat planted

If you have any house plants around like lucky bamboo or golden pothos, throwing them in there will also help with water quality. Not enough to offset need for water changes, but every little bit helps.
