Does anyone have good photos of a juvie black aro? A LFS as one but they have it mislabeled and priced as a silver. I'm almost 100% sure it's a black but would like to be certain. It's about 4-5 inches and very active. Pectoral fins are almost black with a yellow stripe on the front side, and it has a gorgeous black hue to it.

babies are almost all black with a stripe like the one pictured above. once they reach a certain size they look more like a Silver but tere fins are darker.

Either way if its a black listed as a silver Id get it.
 
black aros when young are almost covered in black, your description of the silver that your lfs is selling seems not to be a black aro but silver, post some pics
 
Sounds like a black to me.
 
I was looking online for pics and trying to figure at what size they lose the black. I think I might pick it up on my way home from teaching today. Either way I have always wanted an arowana silver or black.
