Well everyone after the last little fiasco in trying to obtain some baby black aro's, I will be attemping this again tomorrow. For those of you that don't know the last time I ordered baby blacks they showed up as silvers. This sparked a heated debate as to wether they were silvers or blacks and after growing one out to a size that was distiguishable there was no doubt they were silvers. I only had one of these survive shipping and he died later because try as i might he would not eat :( I ordered the new 2 from a local supplier here in Colorado and they are suppose to be almost 4" long so I hope they are eating well. The last time they got them in for me they died in the care of the supplier before I could pick them up. They did a large water change which I assume is the cause of death. I have the 55gal tank divided and heated up to 82.5F I will post pics tomorrow evening if I get a chance.

good luck with that purchase!

Nice, good luck Justin. Who are you getting these through?

Fingers crossed all goes well this time.

Thanks Brian and everyone else. I got these through americancichlid.net. They are a husband and wife and are located in Lafayette. Very nice people

Yes, a big  to John and Dan Ye

Well I have to say that today was one of the collest days in my fish keeping history. I picked up my aro's today and Dan Ye and Jon are amazing people. They really love this hobby and it shows. They have some of the most amazing fish I have ever seen in their fishroom. The 2 aro's I picked up are perfect specimens and bigger than I was expecting. Perfect fins and barbels and wonderful colors. I snapped a couple pics of the as I was floating them getting the drip system set up. I will get better picks tomorrow. they are amazing looking tonight, almost jet black.

Are you sure those aren't silvers?

:grinno:J/K

They look great and already eating is a plus. Just watch for aggression.

What did you do with that little silver you had?
