I recently bought a black arowana at about 3 or so inches. He eats carnivore pellets. I'm wondering why he doesn't swim around like my silver did. He just sits in a corner. Is this something i should be worried about? He doesn't go to the bottom like hes stressed like what my silver did but instead he just doesn't move at the top. Let me know. Thanks.

Also there are no other tank mates and it is in a 29 gallon tank for now.

I've seen some in my lfs. They've been there for couple of weeks displaying same behavior. Like what leeishom said give it time, don't worry at least he's eating. Good luck.

I've got 2 baby blacks at the moment and they act very similar but If i step back were they can't see me they are a lot more active. Also current has a lot to do with their behavior as they can't swim as well at that size. Try turning off the power head for a few hous and see if it changes
