So I have three baby black aro's about 4-5 long two are in one tank that is divided and the other is in another tank divided with another fish. I do weekly 50% water changes and sometimes an extra one if the tank grow out tank looks dirty (its a bare tank). Both tanks have HOB and air stones, the water is keep at around 82-84F, and the tanks have been running for over three years.

I did a water change a few days ago and noticed yesterday one of the aros, the one with the other black aro, is swimming around with it's tail down when I have the light off. When I turn the light on it swims normal for a few seconds and goes back to swimming with its tail slightly down. It doesn't look normal.

I did a 50% water change and added Epsom salt a few hours ago.

Any one ever experience this or have any suggestions?

I'm not sure if it is abnormal or not. One of my small blacks has it's tail drop like that when it is just stationary but not as it is swimming.

I've seen my other aros do what you describe when they are stationary. He does it more often and when he is swimming, he will sometimes swim normal with the tail up for a few seconds too.
