Can I get some expert opinions why my BBS die within an hr after hatching?
I use 1L of dechlorinated tap water, 1 tablespoon of non-ionized salt, 1 pinch of baking soda. Then I add 1/2 teaspoon of BBS egg into the solution. Light and air pump were used. After 24-30 hrs, 90% of them have hatched nicely as advertised.
Since I only got 20 African cichlids fry to feed, I only give them a bit every 3 hrs. So the first time I fed them, BBS were freshly hatched and alive. After an hr, I went back to check on the remaining BBS, most of them have died already. What gives?
