Well who would have guessed. The 1/6 eggs that I pulled from a DOA Calotes versicolor female (which was supposed to be Calotes bachae) hatched today!
My plan as of tomorrow morning, unless someone thinks otherwise of course.
-Small Critter Keeper
-Moist Paper Towel Substrate
-Small Climbing Branch
-Fruit Fly's for Food
-Misted Daily for Water

Any thought or additions to the list?
Thanks!

Looks good, congrats! Just keep the little guy well hydrated since that's the #1 killer of newborn reptiles. And don't be surprised if it doesn't start eating for at least a week (still absorbing internal yoke sack).

Thanks for the info Seth! So far so good, I'll have to get some pictures later today when he's awake. Got him to drink on Friday from a dropper, and Saturday he drank on his own - went right after the water bowl. Hasn't eaten yet, but I've got more hope now. Who would have guessed that after a bunch of nothing from a reptile purchase gone terribly wrong, that I would end up with this little guy? As simple as the species is, I'm very excited to raise him. First reptile egg ever hatched, and I honestly didn't expect it to ever hatch. Now I just need to hatch a Shark Egg and I'll be good....till the Leopard Geckos lay eggs and the Jackson Chameleon has her babies....then there will be more madness. :nilly:

I'm glad the little guy hatched for you and is doing well. You deserved it after all the trouble you went through with this species. Any luck getting it to eat yet? What are you going to try?

Thank you, and he ate for the first time today! Pinhead Crickets coated with Reptivite by ZooMed, and he is getting direct sunlight as an added bonus. Wish he was a Bachae, not a Versicolor, but that's what happens when the distributor has no clue what he's selling I suppose.
