i found my baby channa auranti dead this morning...dont know why...no injury nothing....what could be the reason??? could the tank be too warm???its kept at 30 C... :(
 
that is pretty damn warm... it shud be kept around 24-26

but my 2 Peacock bass n clown knife was fine in it...could it really because of the temp???

Sorry for your loss. Temperature is a little high, but not enormously so, they can take up to 29C without difficulty. If there was no sign of external trauma via fighting etc, perhaps an internal bacterial infection? This would typically be preceded by a period of atypical behaviour, being lethargic etc and either not eating or not eating with vigour and in the normal quantity and/or unusual faeces. Any of this familiar?

actually i havent really see it actually eat for this 1 week....:confused:

it think it's better if you not using heater for those tropica fish.. temperature or weather in your country is suitable enough for those fish.. :)
 
dun be too sad. i tink temp for asian countries is quite suitable and no need for a heater like watphen dox said
 
Sorry to hear your loss. I have two, great fish.

Auranti are actually more used to subtropical temps. Mine come alive at
20-22C. I would say 30 was to high. They can survive it but it is not Ideal.
