just picked up a ck about 2.5 inches long, it was really nice patterns, there are like 12 dots on each side, which is twice more than what i have on my big ck, and suggestions as to what i can feed him other than guppies

too big imo.. try crushing it up a bit. bloodworms work real good. soake krill and rip it up works good too ive learned the smell i think ;) gluk

i tried the crushed up pellets but he still wont take them, it might be because there are some guppies in the tank with him, idk, ill give him a few more days, any other tips would be greatly appreciated

When they're small, bloodworms usually entice them. If he wont take frozen or prepared, then guppies it is. He's to small to start starving yet, at least until 8-10 inches.

ive never had a small one die on me so i think its safe to say self raised feeders are the way to go if the other stuf doesnt work.

the nickel sized gups readily eat anything so gut load and throw a few in and rinse when they dissapear ;)

Try Cichlid gold or Hikari pellets. If there are lots of other fish in the tank that eat them, he will soon come around.
