I am feeding my fish flake food and blood worms. My ck and bichir never seem to be able to get to the flake food as the 3 bala sharks are quicker. I was looking as massivore pellets online, but they seem to be too big for my 3-4 inch ck and 2-3 inch bichir. What are other options besides massivore pellets?

mine golden eats hikari sinking pellets(any but seem to like cichlid gold and marine. both s size pellets... hikari krill cut up is a nice special they seem to like also..

wish i could get my silvers off live! u should give them that sometimes too awesome to watch . keeps them sharp lol =)

And I can buy this from any petstore? How many pellets per feeding? I have 3 quick and greedy bala sharks in the tank as well as a senegal bichir and red-tail shark. Will all of these fish go for the pellets or just the ck (and hopefully the bichir)? I just want to make sure the bichir and ck get their share.

yup most LFS should have hikari brand!in the past friends whove had bala sharks and shark types in general had luck feeding them cubes. tubifex, brine shrimp etc. seems it takes longer for them to rip it up. maybe thatll give u time to sprinkle some pellets near your bichir and ck.=)

my ck is like that too when it comes to servings. i guess since there such hunters they always ''stalk'' the food in the end //?

Hikari sinking pellets are great. Cut pieces of shrimp and fish would be great too.

and feed them when it is dark...

bichirs would almost never go for flakes unless they are huge flakes...bichirs don't rely on their eyes for feeding like the bala sharks or pertially clown knifes(uses smell, sight, and their motion sensors which i can't remember wht they're called). get shrimp pellets because they sink quick and they give off a strong smell once in water that the clown knives and bichirs go carzy for...the shrimp pellets are rondomly sized so you can pick between the smaller ones and the bigger ones. hope that helps.
