can i put 15 one inch baby convicts with a three and a half inch female dempsey in a 55 gallon?

Little cons are survivors they will probably evade the jack until large enough to fight back. You may end up losing a few.

i have a mean male black con in there with them now but he cannot see so well (hes been stuck in driftwood and beat up by another male con) and he chases them but im certain he cant get them!! sooo should i leave him int here til they get bigger or switch now? hes very bothered by any company at all so i wanted him to be alone in the 20 gallon, but the dempsey is new and timid so i dont know how she will be with all those babies (who r ninjas rofl)

Maybe try a few out in the tank with her overnight and see how it goes. With enough hiding spots for the little cons there shouldn't be an issue with that much tank space and such small fish.

ok good :) i was kinda thinkin the same.. she would also be happy to be in a bigger tank too lol.. my con is set in his ways and wants to be alone :(

You may lose a few Cons but I think most should be okay for a while. Cons breed young and small, so releasing 15 in an aquarium and keeping them in there for several months will lead to several pairs and more fry. Multiple breeding pairs of Cons can be a lot of trouble, especially for a young and reclusive female JD.

im not keeping any of the babies rofl.. im just growing them then they r going to the store... unless a female would be ok with the dempsey but i can already tell the dempsey that i have is very timid and a con would be too aggressive :(
