Baby convicts at the pet store???

I am about to leave to go get my 55gal. And i saw convicts at the mall yesterday that were about a half inch long. How long do you think they have till they are an inch and a half and i can buy them?

I posted in your other topic, but it can depend. I've cycled tanks with cons, they are a very sturdy fish.

I hope they don't end up mating almost immediately. I had 2" convicts spawned and they ripped through my community of other cichlids as they herded their fry around. You wouldn't want them to start pairing and spawning and you wonder what they meant when they tell you to just add water when you breed them.
