Baby convicts

how do i look after baby convicts which are just under a month old now, their are 5 that i got from a freind of mine and their in a 20gallon with a sponge filter and a large airstone which i have on except for feeding time

the deco i have in their is small black gravel, 1 peice of wood which they seem to love eating algae growth off
oh and some thin val which covers alot of the top of the tank and they love to hide in it even though they are the only fish in the tank. the lighting is also a fairly decent dont know what wattage sorry
currently they are feeding on cihclid pellets that i used to feed my africans until i change to americans

seem like you are doing fine...maybe do brine shrimp instead of pellets or just mix it up a little. how small are they?

about half a cm mark and i dont feed them pellets i meant to say flakes
and yeah brin e shimp go straight into my fileter and air ator atm
so i have to turn them off during feedfing time

yeah i wish i could tell whether the large convict i have is a male or female because then i would buy another to get a breeding pair as i like watchin the baby convicts swim around for some reason lol and they become a great sorce of feeders as they produce young wuite often
