This happens to me every couple months. I just wanted to post some pics. The filter is a Nu-Clear type canister filter. Just about every time I need to replace my cartridge I find baby Cory cats. Initially I bought 10 of them to cycle my 360. They shoot to the surface all the time to get air and I was worried my Black Aro would get one of them and choke on the locking barbed fins. (Not good feeders) Now they are in a 180 with some Angles. Apparently they like the 180 too.

Yeah, I have too many! I usually just hose out the filter in the back yard and all the babies die out there. Once in a while I'll grab a few of the larger ones and put em back in the tank. I wish I could use them as feeders!

That's so funny they live in the filter. Mine spawn all the time. When I'm cleaning I will find little swimmers under stuff. I just grew out some in a fry tank. I love Cory cats mine have their own planted tank.
