Baby Dats weened

I finally got my second little guy weened off live worms and my other guy off bloodworms. Both are now eating chunks of shrimp. Today was a good day. My littlest Dat took 3 chunks of shrimp tonight! Looks like both of them are off pet store food and now eating only shrimp chunks. This will make it alot easier on me. No more nasty live blackworms, no more feeder guppies! The one that started taking shrimp about 2 weeks ago is starting to get alittle "bulk" hopefully my little guy will gain some weight now and catch up to his brother in the side tank

This is a big day for both of us. The same thing happened for me last night. My ATs eat what ever touches the surface of the tank, but my NTTs were only eating guppies (and the occasional platy). I have been weaning my arowana off of live food and he took 4 big pieces of krill and the NTTs ate two good sized pieces that fell to the bottom.

Maybe today is a good day for us dat owners.

nice one SF, my NTT i have held in a LFS has now been weened of feeders, the lfs did it for me as it was costing them too much LOL
